Welcome to the Research webpage of the Australian Psychoanalytical Society

The research webpage is dedicated to providing an up to date reference list concerning research into psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. The webpage is maintained by the Research Committee, under the chairmanship of Dr Ron Spielman.

The reference list at this stage is a generic one covering psychoanalytic treatment outcome research, psychoanalytic constructs and the psychoanalytic process. 

Members of the research committee are linked a network of Research Fellows of the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA) and receive regular updates and reference material which it is hope will be continuously integrated in the list.

If you wish to contribute references to the list please send them to timothykeogh@bigpond.com .

In addition to the reference list of research, the webpage will later include information about research projects and conferences concerning psychoanalytic research under the headings “Research News Updates” and “Events.”

Under “Research News / Updates” is a reprint of Ron Spielman’s report in the last (June 2011) Newsletter concerning IPA research initiatives.
