The Enduring Significance of Psychoanalytic Theory and Practice

This PowerPoint presentation summarises the main evidence-base for the efficacy of psychoanalytic treatment and addresses some of the common questions about psychoanalysis.

The presentation, written by Gregory Lowder (New York Psychoanalytic Institute), James Hansell (University of Michigan) and Nancy McWilliams (Rutgers University), came out of work directed by the American Psychoanalytic Assocation (APsaA) and funded by the IPA under its DPPT scheme.
