Full Training

New commencement date 2027

Applications now open

The Sydney Branch of the Australian Psychoanalytical Society (APAS) is pleased to announce that it is planning its next training intake for 1st March, 2027, with applications now open, closing 13th November, 2026.

Psychoanalysts treat complex psychological problems in adults, adolescents, and children, by working in the therapeutic relationship with the unconscious processes that underpin them. Psychoanalytic training, whilst challenging, is enormously engaging, providing the opportunity for in depth theoretical and clinical development as well as self-exploration.

Training is available remotely for people in Australia and New Zealand who live outside metropolitan Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

After successfully completing the training, candidates are eligible for membership with both the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA) and Australian Psychoanalytical Society Inc.(APAS).
